Hello 👋

Currently: Advisory role & recharging

I founded Tech in Asia (TIA) in 2010 (unofficially in 2009) with a mission to build and serve Asia's tech and startup community. It was one of the most meaningful and fulfilling things I've ever done.

I got to work with brilliant people and investors (East Ventures, Y Combinator, SoftBank, Eduardo Saverin, and more), travel across the world, and help shape the region's startup ecosystem. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it.

In my job at TIA, I stayed closest to the product and business side of things, which I really enjoyed. I've always loved bridging the gap between beautiful, usable products and a viable business model.

After an incredible 16-year journey, I stepped down as CEO on 31 March 2026 to transition into a six-month advisory role. It was a bittersweet moment. I'm immensely proud of what we've built and deeply grateful for our talented, dedicated team. I'm now taking some time off to recharge with my family before embarking on my next adventure.

Long before Tech in Asia, I taught math, sold vacuum cleaners door‑to‑door, and even traded grasshoppers for pocket money. In my early twenties, I launched an education center from scratch. Those early experiences taught me how to grow ideas from 0 to exit.

When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family 👩🏻👧🏻👧🏻👧🏻, playing tennis 🎾, reading 🧠, daydreaming 💭, angel investing very selectively, and supporting startups that are making a positive impact on our environment 🟢.

I enjoy connecting with fellow founders and builders. Whether you're working through a product challenge or navigating the founder journey, I'm happy to help if I can. Find me on:
